Arboretum Celerates 75 Years


Seattle's Arboretum is celebrating it's 75th anniversary this year and to commemorate it the three partners at the Arboretum are co-hosting a series of special events throughout the year, including tours, lectures, soirees in the park, and more.

Here is a list of what events are coming up:

7/25: Park in the Dark Family Program - Explore the Arboretum after dark to learn about the animals; games and activities for kids ages 6-12
7/18: Olde-Time Picnic - Pack a picnic lunch and head to the meadow for music and field games
6/30: Sundaes on Thursdays - Educational tours of the Arboretum plus hand crafted ice cream
8/6: Art in the Park - Local artists will display works w/botanical and natural history themes; cheese and wine tasting
8/14-15: Kayak Tour of Foster Island - explore part of the largest remaining wetlands in the city on a guided tour
